Tranquility in the Garden (Tranquilité au jardin) by Octave Denis Victor Guillonnet (French, 1872–1967) depicts two women in a lush, sunlit garden. One quietly embroiders while the other reclines with serene ease, framed by blooming flowers and arched greenery. Guillonnet’s soft brushwork and luminous palette capture a moment of leisure and harmony with nature, embodying an atmosphere of peace and refined elegance.
