Le Printemps, 1896 — Eugène Bidau (French, 1839–1899).

A luminous celebration of spring, Le Printemps fills a secluded garden with cascading purple wisteria, flowering branches and white doves gathered around an old stone well. Bidau’s meticulous detail and soft, radiant palette transform the scene into an idyllic vision of renewal and abundance. Painted in 1896, the work may be the Le Printemps exhibited by Bidau at the Paris Salon that same year.
